Privacy Policy

ScreenDrift processes all video entirely in your browser. When you import a file, it is read locally by your browser's File API. It is never uploaded to any server. When you export, the rendered video is written directly to your device.

We have no servers that receive your video data, no cloud storage, and no pipeline for processing your content remotely. This is by design, not just policy.

ScreenDrift does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or identify yourself in any way to use the editor.

If you purchase a Pro license, payment is handled by our payment processor (Stripe or equivalent). We receive a confirmation of payment but do not store your card details. You will receive a license key by email, which is the only personal data we hold in that case.

We use minimal, privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are visited and how the product is used at an aggregate level. We do not use advertising trackers, cross-site tracking pixels, or third-party behavioral analytics.

No personally identifiable information is included in analytics events. Session data is anonymised before storage.

ScreenDrift uses only essential cookies necessary for the site to function. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or third-party cookies for marketing purposes.

If you accept optional cookies in the future (for example, for saved preferences), you will be asked explicitly before any non-essential cookie is set.

The ScreenDrift application itself has no third-party integrations that receive your video data or usage patterns. The landing site may load fonts from Google Fonts, which involves a network request to Google's CDN.

Pro license purchases are processed by our payment provider. Their privacy policy governs how your payment data is handled.

Because we do not collect video or personal data from the editor, there is nothing to retain or delete. Your work stays on your machine.

If you purchase Pro, we retain your email and license status for the purpose of delivering and validating your license. You may request deletion of this data at any time by contacting us.

ScreenDrift is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the date below and post a notice on this page. We will not reduce your privacy protections without giving you clear notice.
